Lou Christie debuted his latest CD, Summer In Malibu, Sunday, April 19, 2009 at a concert at The Capitol One Bank Theatre at Westbury. Anyone who purchased the CD that evening received a chance to win Lou's very own CD juke box. The winning ticket was picked by the Crayons, Mary & Denise, at the end of the show. During Lou's performance he was presented with a plaque commemorating his induction into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame. Ron Alexenberg, a member of the board of directors of the organization, made the presentation personally. Lou surprised the audience by singing the bonus track from the album, Non So Perche. Summer In Malibu is the first CD to have the Hit Parade Hall of Fame logo on it.

Following the show, a CD Release Party was held in Wolfgang Puck's Diamond Club. Some of the friends who attended were; Mark Suozzo, Lou's arranger and the co-author of 2 tracks on the CD, May Pang, Jim Kerr & Carol Miller from Sirius Radio, David Levin who produced the TVLand Confidential series that featured an interview with Lou, Ron Alexenberg, author Mark Rotella, Grammy board member Dennis Ferrante, Rob & Laura Albanese from LAR Entertainment, Ira Silverman from Silverman Media and, former LIPA head, Richard Kessel & his wife Diane. The Crayons, Mary & Denise were there along with some of the members of Lou's amazing band and, of course, Lou's longtime manager, Dick Fox. People traveled from as far away as Florida & Massachusetts to attend this once-a-year event that just gets bigger and better every year...This year's party was the perfect end to an amazing evening. And Summer In Malibu is the perfect CD to usher in the Summer Season!!!
